Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility & Participation

• Each participant may register only once using a valid and unique email ID and mobile number.
• Duplicate, fake, or impersonated identities will lead to immediate disqualification.
• Participation is voluntary. By registering, you grant consent to these terms, our privacy policy, and any associated communication.
• Age limit for participants: 14+ years at the time of registration.
• Alien Brains Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to reject or terminate any registration without notice or justification.

2. Registration & Payment

• A 100% non-refundable advance payment is required for registration.
• Payment once made shall not be refunded, including in cases of disqualification, dropout, or technical inability to participate.
• Participants are responsible for using correct payment details and retaining proof of payment.

3. Document Verification

• Document and ID verification can occur at any stage of the competition—before, during, or after.
• Required documents may include but are not limited to:
• Valid Government or College-issued photo ID
• Scanned cancelled cheque
• PAN Card (for Indian residents)
• Bank account details (for cash prize eligibility)
• Signature on MoU or declaration forms (as and when required)
• Failure to provide documentation or submission of false/fraudulent documents will result in disqualification and forfeiture of all benefits.

4. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to act ethically and professionally throughout the Competition. The following will lead to strict action including disqualification:

• Use of bots, scripts, AI assistance, or automation
• Collusion or cheating during assessments
• Disseminating exam questions/answers online or offline
• Harassment, abusive behavior, or disruption of sessions
• Unapproved impersonation or proxy participation Alien Brains Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to permanently blacklist participants involved in such misconduct.

5. Attendance & Participation

• Attendance in all webinars, exams, training sessions, and the hackathon (if selected) is mandatory.
• Failure to attend or submit work on time will result in disqualification unless a valid reason is approved in writing by the organizing team.
• Participants are responsible for their own devices, internet connectivity, and system compatibility.

6. Leaderboard, Rounds & Judgement

• Weekly winners and leaderboard ranks will be updated regularly.
• Leaderboard rank ≠ final outcome. Qualifiers for auctions and prizes are based on multiple factors: performance, conduct, verification, and availability.
• Decisions by Alien Brains Pvt. Ltd. are final and non-contestable. No appeals or requests for re-evaluation will be entertained.

7. Prizes & Awards

• Cash prizes will be awarded within 90 business days from the final result announcement.
• All prizes are:
• Non-transferable
• Subject to TDS under Indian tax laws
• Conditional on full verification and document submission
• Any delay in documentation by the participant will result in automatic forfeiture of the prize.

8. IP Tracking & Monitoring

• We log IP addresses, device metadata, login times, and behavioral metrics.
• VPNs, multiple logins from diverse locations, or suspicious patterns may result in audit and disqualification.

9. Communication

• All official communication will be sent to the email ID registered at the time of payment.
• Alien Brains Pvt. Ltd. is not responsible for missed communications due to incorrect or inaccessible email accounts.

10. Media & Publicity

• By participating, you grant Alien Brains Pvt. Ltd. global, royalty-free rights to use your name, image, video, testimonials, and performance data for:
• Public relations
• Print/digital media
• Internal and external reports
• No additional consent shall be requested for such usage.

11. Referrals Policy

• Referrals must be genuine and must not use fake emails or unauthorized sharing of referral links.
• Any manipulated, duplicate, or incentivized referrals without proper registration will be voided.
• If a participant is found generating false referrals, their own eligibility may be revoked, along with all associated referral bonuses.

12. Hackathon & Shortlisting for Auction

• The Top 250 participants will be shortlisted post-initial rounds to participate in a 3-day online Hackathon.
• Participation in the Hackathon is mandatory to qualify for the Corporate Auction round.
• The Hackathon will assess technical, creative, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
• Failure to attend any day of the Hackathon will result in ineligibility for the auction, regardless of prior leaderboard rank.

13. Corporate Auction Participation & Binding Commitments

Eligibility for Auction:

• Only those who successfully complete the Hackathon, verification, and conduct screening will qualify.
• Alien Brains reserves the right to add or remove any candidate from the auction list.

Auction MoU:

• Qualified participants must sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) prior to auction participation.
• The MoU will state:
• Voluntary participation
• Binding commitment to join the selected company if offered a role
• Compliance with onboarding timelines post-notice period or final exams

Breach of MoU:

• Backing out after selection without justifiable reason (e.g. health/legal emergency) will result in:
• Blacklist from future events
• Cancellation of any pending prizes
• Potential legal or financial recourse

Company Participation Clause:

• Companies listed are subject to change.
• Alien Brains is not liable for last-minute withdrawals or offer modifications made by companies.

14. Cash Prizes – Disbursement, Verification & Forfeiture

Timelines:

• Disbursed within 90 working days, subject to successful:
• Identity verification
• Submission of:
• Government/College ID
• PAN Card (India only)
• Bank Account details
• Scanned cancelled cheque
• Signed Prize Claim Form

Consequences of Delay or Non-Submission:

• If documents are not submitted within 15 days of notification, the prize will be forfeited.
• No exceptions or extensions will be granted.

TDS & Taxes:

• Alien Brains will deduct applicable taxes as per prevailing laws.
• Winners must handle any subsequent tax filings or disclosures independently.

Payment Boundaries:

• Payment will be made only to the verified bank account of the winner.
• No joint accounts or third-party transfers are allowed.

Fraud & Disqualification:

• If fraud is detected at any stage, Alien Brains reserves the right to:
• Revoke prize
• Disqualify participant
• Pursue further legal remedies if required

15. Rights & Disclaimers

• Alien Brains Pvt. Ltd. reserves the full right to:
• Modify rules, schedules, formats, or prize structures
• Cancel, delay, or reschedule any phase of the Competition
• Make case-based exceptions without setting precedence
• We are not liable for:
• Internet outages
• Server issues
• System crashes
• Errors caused by participant negligence

16. Legal & Jurisdiction

• These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India.
• All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.
